Here are some helpful tips to get you started:

  • Design, and Content

First impressions are important. It is crucial for your home page to be visually pleasing, attention grabbing, and proving some sort of value. Graphics and videos for are commonly used to introduce the visitor to your product or service. The experience must be smooth and aesthetic, visitors don’t want too much “noise” disrupting their experience. Visitors do not want to waste their time in clicking through tons of windows, make the experience as easy as possible. If you’re selling a product, make the checkout as fast as possible.

What value are you providing to the visitor? The main challenge is transforming visitor into customers. It is your job to educate/show the visitor what sort of value your providing. Whether its demonstrating how your product/service solves a problem for them, or educating them about a certain topic. Your goal as the business owner is to provide value to your customers, once you demonstrate value the sales will come.

  • Reputation 

Having an online presence comes with responsibilities. Make sure you’re always operating as a professional, and put the customer first. Your online reputation will ultimately be the deciding factor whether an individual purchases from you or not. Make sure you engage your customers, respond to not only concerns, but any comments on your social media pages/email etc.

  • Email

Email is a crucial marketing tactic. Mailing lists are used to draw in potential customers. The way it works is that you as the business owner, offer incentives for individuals to sign up for your mailing list. Those incentives could be a free trial, ebook, a pdf with tips or tricks, anything that your customer might find useful, and want more of. Providing content builds up your following, which in turn will transform to sales.

  • SEO

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a marketing tactic focused on growing visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results. SEO encompasses both the technical and creative elements required to improve rankings, drive traffic, and increase awareness in search engines. There are many aspects to SEO, from the words on your page to the way other sites link to you on the web. Sometimes SEO is simply a matter of making sure your site is structured in a way that search engines understand. SEO isn’t just about building search engine-friendly websites. It’s about making your site better for people too. Understand SEO is a crucial part to scaling your website.
